XDA Senior Member scrubjay55 has created some flashable ZIPs for patching Goodix for the Kate as well as Kenzo Redmi Note 3's Nougat ROMs. These will properly patch the ramdisk for the custom ROM's boot image so you don't have to flash an already patched boot image.
