Lineage OS 14.1, based off of Android Nougat 7.1, has been ported to the Samsung Galaxy S i9000. Though it is unlikely that anyone is still seriously using this nearly 7 year old device whose last update was Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, it is quite interesting to see new proof-of-concept development efforts breathe life into this ancient device. If you have one of these bad boys catching dust in a drawer somewhere, consider firing it up for old times' sake and flashing the cutting edge of Android software onto it.
