OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition Announced, May Be Exclusive to India

OnePlus have become fans of releasing exclusive editions of their devices in limited runs. Last year, we got saw a special Colette edition of the OnePlus 3T, which presented the device in a stunning, matte black coloring with the Colette logo on the back. Shortly after, they also released a Midnight Black limited run of the OnePlus 3T, and the Midnight Black color made its way to the OnePlus 5 as one of the standard, non-limited versions. The OnePlus 5 itself also received a special, rather extravagant Castelbajac edition, also sold through Colette. Continuing this tradition with the OnePlus 5T, which only launched around a week ago, OnePlus launched a limited Lava Red version for the Chinese market.

Now, just two weeks before Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas, OnePlus is producing another limited edition variant of the OnePlus 5T to celebrate the occasion. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition was announced at Comic Con India, and apart from the customized software it also brings a redesigned exterior featuring a white finish on the back of the device with a black OnePlus logo under the fingerprint sensor and a red Star Wars logo adorning the bottom.

The front of the device retains the same black finish, as do the volume and power buttons. The alert slider now stands out in stark contrast to the white and black with a red accent. There is currently no word on whether this limited run, Star Wars phone will make its way to the rest of the world as it was initially announced in India and many details have yet to be revealed. There is also no information on when it will actually be available for purchase, but seeing that we're approaching December 15th, it shouldn't be long until this 5T is in people's hands. More details regarding this eye-catching phone will be provided next week.
