XDA Feed Gets More Content and Faster Updates with New Community Build

Remember XDA Feed?  It's an official XDA app that shows a curated feed of all the best content for your device!  We originally launched it for the OnePlus 3/OnePlus 3T, but a few months later, due to popular demand, we released a build for all devices.

XDA Feed by the numbers

It won't surprise you to learn that are a lot of devices on XDA, and the overwhelming number of ROMs, kernels, apps, articles, and more made it very difficult to keep up with demand.  In fact, all the XDA Feed's content was added, maintained, and pushed out by a one-man team — our very own Roni.

We're happy to announce that we're giving Roni a break and that we've released a new build of XDA Feed that revamps the way content is suggested and moderated.  Feed's backend has been fleshed out to provide tools to a new team of moderators.  This team, lead by Portal writer Kishan Vyas and backed by MSF Jarvis (XDA RC/Substratum/halogenOS) and Maxr1998 (XDA RD/RC), has been moderating new content for the past few months, so if you're one of the 130,000+ users on Feed, you might have noticed a huge uptick in the quantity of per-device content being pushed out.

There's also a new Community section in the app which lets users see the status of their suggestions, as well as the top contributors to XDA Feed.  Last but not least, there's the Feed website, which is the first part of the XDA Feed platform to be open sourced (with the Android app to follow soon).

Now that Feed's content is fueled entirely by the community, we're looking for people who are interested in helping to maintain and grow it. We have numerous moderator, tester, and advocate positions open, so if any of those sound interesting to you, feel free to apply to join the team below!  Or just come say "hi" by joining our 1000+ strong Telegram group.
