The HTC U12 Life looks to be an upcoming HTC device on the horizon. While the company is certainly having issues keeping afloat as of late, they haven't quit just yet. Dutch news site Nieuwe Mobiel has obtained sketches of the upcoming HTC U12 Life, of which we've already seen the specifications. The design of the device has a number of surprises.
First and foremost, the HTC U12 Life looks a whole lot like the original Google Pixel. If the back is comprised of both glass and plastic, then it will bear a strong resemblance – ignoring the camera, of course. The ever-prevalent notch has also been forgone here, something that many will be happy to see. There's a dual camera set up on the back which corroborates the earlier report from Android Authority. There are no physical buttons and the edges have been slimmed as well. You can check out the full specifications that we know from promotional material so far below.

HTC's future is unknown, and they're getting ever closer to being forced to leave even more markets. The HTC U12 Life really needs to succeed, proving that the company still has it in them to take on the smartphone market. With low-cost competitors spreading across the globe, the price is going to be a big factor in its success. While the specifications are certainly decent, this particular device will be defined by its cost. We don't know when it will be announced either, but availability in comparison to competitors will also impact its success.
