The HTC 10 began its Android 7.0 Nougat rollout a few weeks ago, starting with the UK, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East and other regions to follow. But the rollout for Mainland Europe had to be halted due to an unexpected technical issue.
The expected ETA for the rollout to resume in this region was February. True to their word, the rollout is now resuming in Europe. The update will hit the devices in the next few days, so everyone with a HTC 10 can enjoy the Nougat party.
In case you cannot wait, HTC has provided for an alternative means of updating.
The instruction set mentioned in the image can be found here, while the Android Nougat update download link can be found here. The update ROM clocks in at a healthy 1.83GB in size. Flashing the update will wipe the device completely, so do maintain adequate data backups.
HTC's instruction set specifically warns users in the Netherlands to avoid manually flashing this update. The Dutch version of the HTC 10 are still being tested for the update, so if this applies to you, we do recommend holding off and until the OEM gives the green signal.
Have you tried out the update? How was your experience? Let us know in the comments below!
