As we inch closer towards official launch of the LG G6, we are receiving more details of the LG's upcoming flagship device. Just a few days ago, some leaked renders showcased the G6 from multiple angles and now, we are getting details about when the device will go on sale.
Not much have remained unknown about the LG G6, thanks to a series of leaks and reports so far. The reports have shown that the successor to the last year's G5 will likely feature an all-metal design — leaving behind the modularity of the G5 — a 5.7-inch "QHD Plus" display, will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC and that it will be IP67 certified.
While the device is yet to be unveiled officially, a new report coming out of VentureBeat shows that the device will go on sale soon after it gets launch. According to Evan Blass over at VentureBeat, the LG G6 will officially go on sale in its home country, South Korea, on March 9 with the US release date set for April 7, a month after it goes on sale in South Korea.
LG is releasing its flagship a month ahead of the Galaxy S8 to take advantage in terms of sale potential. The LG G6 will reportedly sport a dual-camera setup on the back, and will also be the first ever non-Pixel device to come with a Google's virtual assistant. The LG G6 is expected to launch on February 26 in Barcelona, Spain, a day before MWC kicks off, so hopefully we won't have to wait long to learn more about LG's 2017 flagship.
