Google One was first announced at Google I/O earlier this summer. In true Google form, the existence of this service is a little confusing. Basically, Google One is an all-in-one subscription package for Google Drive, Gmail, Google Photos, and online support. The service was initially invite-only, but today is launching in the US and a growing list of countries.
Google One pricing breaks down like this:
- 15GB – Free for all Google accounts
- 100GB – $1.99 per month
- 200GB – $2.99 per month
- 2TB – $9.99 per month
Google has been upgrading paid Drive users to Google One over the last few months. Now everyone can do the same, or start a new subscription. New subscribers have a few special offers to celebrate this release. Currently, you can snag a $5 Google Play gift card, but soon there will also be perks for the Google Store and Google Express.
Besides the storage options, a subscription also comes with 24/7 support for all of Google's products. No more digging through the support forums to find answers. And your plan can be shared with up to 5 family members (or friends). If you're looking for a simple way to get more storage, Google One is your one stop.
