Has anybody rooted the T-mobile S7 edge and actually kept it rooted?

A few days ago, I rooted my phone. My phone got hot and slow so I restored a stock image. Has anyone rooted their phone that actually uses it?

Did all those tutorials actually make the rooted phone worth using?
