web downloads via silk browser

Hello. can anyone tell me if I can transfer my web downloads from silk onto my microSD card and if so can I delete them from my download folder in silk and the downloads still remain on my SD card?? I know I am a noob and this is prly an easy question but after hours of playing on my kindle I am still lost. Thanks

KDZ/TOT Flashing Fails, Bricked due to bad 47A flash

Hello, I am trying to return to stock for Miitomo/Android Pay to work on my G3-VS985 from CM13 nightlies with the last LP radios and boostack of 35B

Essentially what happens on all flashing methods is it fails to install the mtp drivers, and fails to connect regardless of OS bitness and version (Win10x64 and Win7x32 tested) and does not change the COM number on the phone's screen,
on one of the flashes it deleted the bootloader flash partition, and i re-flashed it in TWRP3, alongside all the 47A partitions except system and recovery, blaming possibly dead partitions of previous flashes, in hope to fix the flash mode

and here i am, stuck on just 47A flash mode which doesnt seem to respond enough to flash a KDZ or TOT
in the flash mode's status box it states "VUSER B60"
How likely am i to get this back up and running? and if so, how would i go about this?

Requesting help to get data working with RingPlus

Hi,
I'm trying to flash back two E4GT phones from PagePlus to Sprint (RingPlus MVNO). I get calls and text but no data. I suspect the mobile IP (M.IP) address maybe wrong. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge can help me out. I keep getting error 67. If anyone has QPST and can confirm their settings it would be much appreciated. Here are my current settings:
Settings tab- Service programming/field service/one time subsidy lock (uses 1) are all the MSL on the account. General = slot cycle 2, Current NAM=Nam1, Auto Nam = unchecked, SPC change enabled = checked.

CDMA tab- Nam Name = "SPCS", Directory = R+ phone number(10 digits no space/no dash), AOC=6, MCC=310, MNC = 10, IMSI_S = MSID (10 digits), Primary Channel A/B=283/384, Secondary Channel A/B=691/777, EVRC enabled for Home Page/Home Orig/Roam orig. Question here, I certain all is correct except for MNC. I've read 10, 12 and 120. QPST will only accept a 2 digit code for this field. Does it matter as it seems to work with both 10, 12 and even 00 (just not with 120).

CDMA-2 tab - NAM name = SPCS, Directory = R+ (10 digit number), True IMSI with MCC=310, MNC=12 and IMSI_S=MSID (10 digit)....Identical to first CDMA tab.

System tab - SID=4162, NID=65535, preferred mode = CDMA only, Band and Roam preference = Automatic

Roam tab- I loaded PRL 60690

Data tab- MDR mode = Svc Opt 33 pfrd, Pkt Dial String #777, Service option=IS-707

M.ip tab -

[Q] Test keys versus Release Keys.

After reading a lot of chatter on how others (with other devices) don't root their phones because they want to keep using Android Pay, I paid attention to my XZU where Android Pay is concerned.

STOCK ROM,
Bootloader: Locked
Root: No

Android Pay: Runs, allows credit card to be added.

STOCK ROM
Bootloader: Locked
Root: Yes

Android Pay: Runs, allows credit card to be added.

STOCK ROM
Bootloader: Unlocked
Root: Yes

Android Pay: Runs, allows credit card to be added.

AOSP / CM based ROM: ANY
Bootloader: Unlocked (Of course)
Root: Yes

Android Pay: Force closes after splash.

A notable difference Sony stock ROMs and all CM / AOSP ROMs is that Sony build with release keys, and CM / AOSP build with test keys. And I am of the feeling that it is those keys that Android Pay are validating the security of the device with.

If I was clever enough to build myself a ROM, I would try this out of myself, which leads me to this question:

Encryption and custom ROMs

I am currently running AICP nightly. It is working great but i want to know what my options are. Can I safely encrypt this device?

Also, what happens with SD card? Does encryption not work with SD? What about SD is in that Android 6.0 mode as combined storage.

[Q] Tasker Switch Network Operator

Here's the thing often times my phone goes to roaming even though im still on a network coverage area which in turn causes charges to my account when I send message or call someone and use my data. Now what I do when that happens is (on a samsung phone) go to [Settings>Mobile Networks>Network Operators>Select Automatically] which fixes the problem sometimes. Is there a way to automate this process with tasker so that whenever my phone's signal state goes to roaming it does the thing above^

Nexus 2013 Timur's kernal and 4port USB hub slow charging

Hello, so I have always had this problem of my phone charging so slow while using the 4 port USB I have installed in my car.
Here is the Hub I have: 4 port usb hub: StarTech.com Mountable 4 Port Rugged Industrial USB Hub (ST4200USBM)

I have used my Nexus 7 (2013) for GPS and if using it for long period of time I have noticed that the battery will actually go low even with it constantly charging while driving.
Here is the Cigarette Lighter car charger that I use: PowerGen® 4.2Amps / 20W Dual USB Car charger Designed for Apple and Android Devices - Black
I have it just plugged straight into the cigarette lighter with the USB cable going into the NA (Not Apple) port.
(A note, I had to use a USB extension cable to get the USB cable to reach the OTG cable.)
AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female - 3.3 Feet (1 Meters)

Now I have the USB Hub wired from the 12V cigarette lighter, and I use 3 USB ports from it to either Charge 1 or 2 phones, and then have a USB Drive in the other so I can play music, watch a movie etc on the Tablet.

I went with the powered 4 port USB HUB so I could charge my phone(s) while driving but it is basically worthless for doing that I don't understand why. On my commute home which is almost an hour drive My phone will barely charge 10-15% no matter what level I started charging it at.
The Nexus 7 tablet will usually stay full charged if just doing normal stuff like playing music, surfing the net. But if I use heavy power program like GPS or Play a movie it will drop and it will say Charging but it will get low until I stop those programs and let charge back up.

I am using the latest version of Timur's kernel.
My concern is, I plan on driving a long distance in a month and would like to not have to worry about my GPS killing my Tablet Battery and getting stuck, and would like to be able to power up the Cell Phones so not having to stop at some store etc to try and find a charging station.

Thanks for your time. I am pretty open as to what I can do, so if you guys have tried and true solutions please let me know.

fast wireless charging no longer an option

I pre-ordered the S7 Edge. I loved it, but I had a screen failure. the local store replaced it. as I was setting it back up I noticed I was missing a specific setting.

under battery, I had an option for fast charging. when I opened that I had two options. Fast cable charging and Fast wireless charging.
so I could decide to turn one or the other off or on.

Now, I have fast cable charging only. there is no wireless fast charging option available.

what am i missing? does it still allow fast wireless?

what does everyone else have? what dos it mean?

PLEASE HELP! How do I root or recover from Z5 factory reset?

Hi there,

So I updated my z5 to Marshmallow and of course, like most. My phone crashed, had to restore factory default and I lost some screenshots and text messages that I need VERY MUCH.

I have tried many tools to recover files, none of them find anything and just say to root in order to restore deleted items.

I did find one walk through to root the z5 on here but it doesnt give me much of a description. Just gives me codes to enter but i have no idea how to even start.... I am computer savy, but dont know a whole lot about phones.

If anyone can walk me through this or has had success with another way to recover deleted items on a z5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Help, I can't get past the WIFI screen and I can't flash a new rom on this phone

Hello guys,

I need your assistance with this issue. I got this Boost Mobile LG LS770/Stylo phone from eBay and when I wiped/restored it to clean everything from the other person, the phone still wants me to enter the information from the previous person before I can use it. Of course that is not an option. I tried.

Also, since I am unable to get to the Android OS, I cannot put it in debug mode either. So I tried a few things to no avail. This is what I have done so far:

• Put the phone in ADB mode via recovery - Done, but I am unable to sideload anything. I get this error.. "* cannot read 'sideload' *"
• Put the phone in download mode "Fireware Update" - Done, and I can see my port as COM3, but when I run the next step, I get a message that says... "Hello, my name is LAF....." and nothing happens.
• I tried using the LG one click root tool, but that requires the phone to be in USB debug mode and like I said before, I am unable to even get to the welcome screen in android. I can't get past wifi setup in reality, I can't even skip it.

I have been at this all day today. Can you please help me out? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

AP Fastboot Flash Mode (secure) BIG ISSUE!!!

I was very Happy on Maxx xt1225 with soak of MM, so i think to make a little look on xda links of RR and CM13 to see if they're actualized, anyway whats a i did... just made a downgrade to stock KK 4.4.4 via fastboot instaled the TWRP and then flashed the RR, i didnt liked the rom e rollback to KK 4.4.4 with fastboot again, in this time i did not flashed the custom recovery AND REALLY DO NOT relocked mi bootloader... My Maxx started with KK and i was downloading the Lollibug to reach again the soak of MM, now theres the problem i didnt see well but the fone dont start and the display stay every time black but the usb remains alive i tried to enter again on recovery but it doesnt answer the comand, i saw on my pc it was with a diferent tipo of usb drive something like qualcom 9008 then i tried this

I tried the atached arquives that we saw on the post above and fastboot always say that the fastboot command was refused, then a tried stock rom KK 4.4.4 and it remains in state.

PegasusPowerHAL error on CM13~

Hello everyone on XDA! I flashed CM13 20160330 nightly yesterday~ And it works flawlessly. Thanks for devs work…

But recently i found my Catlog app got a problem below:

04-01 07:25:29.790 E/PegasusPowerHAL(3131): Error opening /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/pegasusq/boost_lock_time: No such file or directory

(And it will showing when i touch the screen~)

I have tried several flash on below but ALL no luck :(
1. 0329 nightly + Boeffla kernel beta25
2. 0330 nightly + stock kernel
3. 0330 nightly + Boeffla kernel beta20 (got cpu stuck problem)
4. 0330 nightly + Boeffla kernel beta 13~

Anyone knows? :)

[Mod] Enable Digital Dolby

Hey guys im not sure if this has been posted here yet, but I can't find it so i thought I would do a write up.

This mod enables Digital Dolby effect in the stock music player.

Must be rooted.
Not responsible for broken phones..

1. In your root browser navigate to device/etc/com.lge.music.xml

2. Scroll to audio_effect data=

3. Now change the value FROM "lgeffectwithcustom" TO "dolby"

4. Save and restart

5. Go to music player and now you are able to select Digital Dolby from the effects list.

hey guys, i just receive two LG G4 (H815) from the amazon warehouse.

I have the feeling that one of the devices has a little brighter display with also a little better viewing angles (both tested at 100% brightness).

Is that possible?

Does LG build in diffrent panels or are my eyes fooled?

Mirrorlink connection issue

Hi,

I wanted to know if somebody succeeded in connecting the m8 with mirrorlink.

For me, mirrorlink does not work with my Bosch
multimedia system in my Suzuki vitara 2016. I'm on a m8 last european rom
android 6.12.401.4 with every HTC apps updated.

The connection is established on the phone but nothing appears on the car
screen( no connection).

I have also tested with my girlfriend HTC m8 with lollipop and it doesn't
work either.

Does somebody use mirrorlink?

Any help?

Lockscreen: extra swype required to get to the numpad for PIN input

Up until Lollipop you had the PIN input numpad right there on the lockscreen so you could just wake the device and input the pin directly. With Cyanogenmod 11 you could even skip having to press OK after input -> very convenient, just perfect.
Even with Lollipop and Touchwiz on the S6 you had the numpad right there below the notifications after waking the screen.
Now on the stock S7 MM/TW you have that annoying extra swype to get to the numpad.
Does anyone know how I can get the old convenient design of the lockscreen with the numpad directly accessible on the S7? (but not what CM 12 did, where you could set it to jump to the numpad directly but then you had to swype back if just checking the time or notifications or taking a quick shot)

Don't try to open your OPX!!

Hey guys,

The detailed problem:
I've worked for 2 months into a factory that had crazy amounts of dust and metal residue in the air. Since then i had 2 problems with my phone, both self inflicted by the workplace:
1. my earpiece got killed (compressed air)
2. my mic got suuuuper quiet, the other party could only hear me (badly) if i spoke really loud, or shouted. Also my speaker got quieter.

So in regards of these 2 problems, i had a buddy of mine (who has a phone repair service) to take a look inside. I bought a earpiece speaker for oneplus 2, but it didnt match. the one that matched was from a nokia lumia 930-925 (something like that). I had a hard time getting out the battery, and when the microphone got cleaned, it shed of a large amount of metal residue, the speaker too had a less amount of residue. The problems came when they needed to put the whole phone back. The back cover is THE WHOLE PHONE is made out of rubbish materials (i still love this phone to pieces , and the money value is superb) and the back cover had some "minor" problems when glued back, the rim (which is made out of thin rubber) that holds the back glass cover , got ****ed up, and the glue didn't do its best job, so in a corner the glass got cracked. Also because of the glue and the rim inside the phone the plastic cover is now standing loose.

tl;dr the phone materials are rubbish, back cover got a little cracked in a corner after repairing microphone and earpiece.

All in all i still love the phone, and its a great value for money, but when it comes to repairing...just dont...try to give it back to oneplus to repair it and dont accept bull**** if it comes back looking bad.

SSH Question

Can you ssh into a phone without root or having an app on the phone? I am wondering because a friend of mine broke his s4 and wants hi pictures off the phone. I have already tries connecting the phone to 3 pc's and all would not recognize the phone as an external media. I also tried installing the Samsung drivers on all pc's .

Australian Firmware for SM-9000 Note 3

Hi,

I did a search for this but nothing came up, been googling for hours so I thought maybe you guys might know. I downloaded a SER (russian) ROM for the device but I cannot use this as it's in russian and spitting up errors after I factory wipe/reset.
Anyone know of a working download link of the XXUENG1 (I've heard this works) Galaxy Note 3 ROM?

Noob with Huawei phone - 2 issues.

Hi,

I got a Huawei phone to play with and I tried unlocking the bootloader and installing a new ROM.
Got root with rootking. Can't install SuperSU.

1. I unlocked the bootloader via unlocker.
Whenever I try to install TWRP recovery, The recovery doesn't load up and the device restarts.
I have tried 2870 and 3000. nothing works.
Flashed stock recovery 2.3 back so I will have a recovery on the device.
What seems to be the problem?

2. The phone's build is P7-L10V100R001C00B125.
Custom ver. CUSTC576D125
I would like to update to the latest version.
What version can I update to ? I've read so many posts and I can't understand if I can update to P7-L10C900B852 (via a full image file) for example.
Do I have to change the custom ver. or not ?
Please explain the rules about the build number and the custom ver.

3G problem

Hi all,
is a couple of days that my Photon Q have some problems with carrier and data signals.
The phone have SIM mod and running on Wind Italian carrier.
Until one week ago I don't have any problem to use it in GSM (EDGE data connection) or UMTS (HSDPA data connection). Now I'm able to run the phone only with GSM connection. If I choose WCDMA (UMTS) connection the phone lost the signal.
I try to change the configuration a lot of time (and reflashing the ROM, CM 12.1 stable release) without success... only the "GSM only" mode guarantee the phone to connect.
I try to open the cover to perform some chech with the internal antennas... but there is a lot of it!


upper left, upper right, central right, bottom left, bottom... 5 antennas!
+ one in the main board (the black wire in the top of this image):



Now, I'm almost sure that the black wire in the mainboard is the 2G antenna (the phone connect to the GSM signal also without the cover connected)... but the other 5 antenna in the cover?
Do you know where is the UMTS antenna?

Will OTA to marshmallow destroy root and s-off?

I just got a refurbished m8 from insurance, and instead of using adb to root and unlock I had to use kingroot and firewater or sunshine..whatever it's called. I haven't been able to flash a custom recovery yet, but I have an OTA to upgrade to marshmallow.

If I upgrade will I still be unlocked and rooted?

Locales not showing up in Settings even though they are installed

Hi everyone,

I'm working on an AOSP device which has a limited set of locales, and I wanted to add Portuguese to the device. I did this by modifying device/qcom/common/common.mk and adding in pt_PT to PRODUCT_LOCALES. With the image that this build produces, I can successfully set the language to Portuguese through the setprop persist.sys.language settings, but if I go to Settings -> Language and Input -> Language, Portuguese is not on the list.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can add a language to the languages list in Settings?

Help - Any ROMs have a working APN Editor?

I have switched my Verizon S5 over to StraightTalk (still using Verizon towers for 1/2 the cost). I need to be able to change the APN settings. I am using the Rooted Stock BP1 Rom (jkruse, thanks for your work!). The standard Verizon APN editor is crippled and does not allow you to change the APN settings. (the '+' add button is grayed out)

Are there any ROMs that have a fully functional APN editor?

I have tried the method to edit APNs found here but it did not work for me:

Right now I have to call Straight Talk every month to reset the APN settings from their end or I lose my data connection. I am hoping that one of the custom ROMs has a fully functional APN editor.

Wi-Fi Calling issues

Is Wi-Fi calling not turning on for any one else? Trying to turn it on a get a screen flicker and it stays off. The unhelpful Sprint person tried to say the G5 didn't have wifi calling, then changed her story to a outage in my area...
I've done the usual dialer codes trying to fix it with no luck. :/

I've debloated my Rom (Alliance rom 5.0.1). Now my Shealth has no. blood Pressr/Spo2... (only zhe UV is avaible) options only the data options but nothing to use with Sensor. (actually shealth4. 7+shealth service2.x installed)

Anyone knows which app is for the Spo2/blood pressure that i can use it over the Sensor? I've think. i've deleted :/ ( i wont setup my rom again because of shealth......)

connectivity issue

hello
i have a problem with my g928f
my issue is that it can not be regognized by the windows
i have tried at my desktop with win 10 and at my laptop with windows 7 and at both says unknown device,
i have tried everything i know of
unistall everything from the pc regarding samsung drivers
install it again , nothing
install smart switch , nothing
install kies, nothing
run odin , not even see the phone at download mode
made factory reset from recovery , nothing

charge is working just fine both from pc and my wall charger

i tried mhl hdmi and nothing happened
tried just now otg cable with a usb drive , again nothing


just a week ago i was using it just fine with my pc

should i take it to a store to check my micro usb port??

I can't really get an answer to this online or Reddit forums.

Is the Nvidia Play Store different from the Google Play Store?

I just want to be able to use my Google Opinion Rewards to spend on this device that aren't normal Play Games. I don't want to purchase the device if it doesn't work that way.

Edit: I could find nothing on Google either. I just want to know if it is the same store and if I can use my credits to purchase games.

S7 Edge Duos data connectivity problems

Hi all,

I have the dual sim S7 SM-G935FD running the XSP firmware. Rooted with the microSD Mod on Sim 2. It's being used in the USA at the moment. Sim 1 is AT&T and Sim 2 is T-Mobile. Both are USA sim cards. Everything goes through Sim 1 AT&T - Voice, Text and Data. Sim 2 is just for receiving calls only. Sim 1 is set at LTE/3G/2G and Sim 2 is 2G only.

Since day one I have this connectivity issue pertaining to data connection.

When Sim 2 gets a weak signal and eventually drops out, data connection on Sim 1 remains - everything works. However, when Sim 2 is picking up signal again, the data connection on Sim 1 drops out.

When this happens, the pull down notification will display that the data connection is on Sim 2 - as if the phone switches the data connection from Sim 1 to Sim 2 by itself. However, if I go to the Sim Manager, it will show that the data connection is still on Sim 1 like it originally was. At this point, the phone has no data. And yes, the phone is displaying conflicting information. Notification says Data is on Sim 2 but Sim Manager says Data is on Sim 1.

To fix this, I have to use the Sim Manager, select Sim 2 for Data. Wait a few minutes. Then, choose Sim 1 for Data again, then everything comes back normal. Data connects.

This is quite annoying in a poor reception area.

Troubleshooting steps that I have tried but they do not fix the problem-
Flash stock firmware no root
Use a different stock firmware - XEU
2 sim cards only with no microSD card on the back of Sim 2
Choose 3G/2G only for Sim 1 and 2G for Sim 2
Swapping Sim 1 and Sim 2

If I disable Sim 2 the problem goes away, but of course, what's the point of dual sim then?

I also have a S6 Edge+ Duos SM-G9287 but it does not have this problem.

Hey everyone, I have been going crazy trying to find a factory firmware for my LG L22C (Power) and finally found one. It was posted on gaodi.net, which is in Chinese. I was able to register, and have gotten a few points on there, but so far, I am still unable to see download links. I saw a few people post on here that they were able to download from there, and tried sending them messages, but got no replies. Any way to mute the phone without unlocking it?

Like most other S7/S7E users I presume, I use the fingerprint scanner to unlock my S7E. However, if I need to suddenly mute the phone, the volume keys don't work until I unlock the phone. This is really annoying, especially as the volume keys work just fine when listening to music and the phone is locked.
Am I missing something obvious here? I'd rather not have to install a lockscreen app if i can avoid it.

Possible to enable VoLTE on a GPE rom?

Anyone know of a way to enable VoLTE on MM GPE roms? I have it enabled via Verizon's website, but I am not able to toggle the "Turn on VoLTE Provisioned Flag" in *#*#INFO#*#* -> Phone Information menu, nor can I do it in the settings apk. Also, I'm on the latest MM firmware.

ME581C - Misclick while rooting :(

Hello, i need your help with my "dead" tablet ASUS Memo Pad 8 ME581C (K01H) and because i didn't find Memo Pad 8 forum i will add it here..

So today, i was trying to downgrade & root my tablet with this instructions - http://ift.tt/1RKoXtV

Everything went well BUT then i press wrong button - i press POWER button instead of VOLUME- button at begin of step 5. Tablet went OFF and now i cant turn it ON again :crying:

I tried to continue with step 6 and 7 but Intel phone flash tool doesnt see this device when connected..

When i plug it to PC (Win 10), it recognize it only as device "MOOREFIELD".
I tried recovery mode (power & volume+, volume+ & volume-, all three buttons together) but nothing, tablet is still dead - no logo screen, no vibrations..
I tried put cleardata from Asus on SD card and turn on tablet somehow, but again, tablet didn't do anything.
Also "adb devices" command doesn't see this device..

I did (tried..) root first time and i am a noob in this field, so please keep it in mind.. Simple instructions will be best :)

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

S3 mini (8190) HARD BRICKED PLEASE HELP!!!!

WiFi doesn't connect with AOSP roms

I just purchased this used N6. This is my first Nexus device, coming from Samsung and LG devices, I am truly amazed at the speed of the device. I don't care what the benchmark scores says, this is way faster than Note4, MotoXPure or LG G4.

One problem I am facing is that the WiFi doesn't connect at my university network with the AOSP roms. I tried PureNexus, Chroma and ResurrectionRemix. I can connect to my home wifi just fine.
On stock based roms it works at both places. I am currently on N6XShamuM rom, and wifi is just fine.
The problem is only with AOSP roms. I didn't have this issue with AOSP rom on my LG G4.

Can someone suggest any solution?
The AOSP roms feels snappier than the stock, so I would prefer to use one of them.

Xperia Z5 us version vs international version

I really would like to buy the international version since it has the fingerprint scanner. The only difference is the USA version is CAT4 LTE and the international is CAT6 LTE. Will this make a difference with AT&T carrier in USA? Will the different antenna cause connectivity issues?

Folio keyboard

Just got delivery of my folio keyboard last night for the Pixel. Since ordering it, I began to seriously doubt by decision to pick this over the metal keyboard, but I must say I'm happy with my decision now. The leather feels great and is easy to grip, I love how the tablet itself magnetically docks to the folio, and I also love how you can simply flip the keyboard back and the Pixel disconnects, saving both battery and frustration from erroneous keystrokes since the keyboard is facing outward when flipped around. The tablet only connects via Bluetooth when the edge of the tablet is actually touching (and magnetically bound to) the keyboard in desktop mode. As soon as you break that magnetic connection, Bluetooth shuts down. It's a elegant solution to what might otherwise be a deal breaking problem. I especially love that it protects the back of the tablet, while also allowing me to very easily separate the Pixel from the case entirely with a simple tug.

I'm personally loving the Android N experience so far. Yes, a few apps don't play well with the OS at the moment, such as HBO GO, but I can live with that.

Is it the ultimate productivity tool? Not even close, but as far as a tablet experience goes, I'm loving it.

Odin stuck on NAND Write start

Hi hope you guys can help me. I recently bought an unlock s7 but it has the three network start up screen and three bloatware on it. I downloaded the latest BTU firmware from sammobile and tried to flash it using odin hoping that this would give me a fresh unbranded firmware. When i try to flash the files (AP,BL,CSC and CP) it stops at "NAND Write start' in the dialogue box and "set partition' at the top box. What am i doing wrong? What have i to do to install the unbranded BTU firmware? Thanks in advance

Orphaned text message on watch?

I have two watchfaces on my LG Urbane that show the unread text message count. Both of them show one message from about a couple weeks or so ago that I can't get rid of.

I have deleted the message from my phone, rebooted both the phone and the watch, resync'd Textra on my phone, and have run out of ideas. Has anyone run into this and have a solution?

4k tv problems

Hi all,

Recently bought a shield to go with my panasonic cx802 4k TV..
I plugged it all in booted the nvidia logo popped up then black screen... Nothing I tried swapping ports restarting etc nothing.., so I hooked it up to monitor and went though new install changed the HDMI res setting to 720p un plugged and went back to my pana which now did display a picture... Problem is I cannot select a res higher that 720p which I'm finding really annoying.. Can any one help?

CM Security issue

Hi. I installed cm security app on my oneplus one. I loved a few images to the vault. However, I deleted the app by mistake. I have a backup of the cm security folder with the images I'd hidden. When I reinstalled the app and copied the contents of the old folder, the images in the vault don't show up. Is there a way to restore my back up in cm security again? I need those images back. The file is with me. However it is encrypted in cm security format. Anyway I can retrieve those images in the vault again? Please help

I cant figure out my problem

Hello everybody !
I'm here today because i have a problem I can not figure out.
When I got my ascend p7 I download a room I found on this website called "My rom v3.3 B609" to enjoy the emiu 3. Everything works fine, I am really happy of this rom. But I wanted to upgrade my phone, in order to get android L. It's been more than two months that I try, look for answers and so on but nothing works.

Everytime that I want to flash a new rom, the CWM ( 6.0.5.0 ) tells me " installation aborded". And no matter what rom it is, it does not work. I've heard about the Notepad method but I can not find the sentences to delete.

I am really stuck, I can not even downgrad. My CWM wont let me do anything.

So if somebody could tell me what is the problem, it would be really good. :)

[Help] WiFi/tethering not working, no idea what's going on

Okay, I'm gonna try and not mess up this post by not mixing everything up :
I've got an Lg G2 D802, running Cm 12. 1, everything was working fine until I tried one day to tether my data to my computer, it just wouldn't work... The screen froze sometimes when I clicked on the "share the network" button, or sometimes would just be grayed out. Searched online and found nothing relevant, decided to not pay that much attention to the issue.

That was until I came back home and tried to log on to my wifi, wouldn't work, same freeze issue than the tethering, or the icon would just turn Grey, or sometimes I wouldn't even be able to click on it. A lot of people are having the issue with other phones as well, but have seen no solution that worked for me...
I wiped everything and installed CM13, issue remained, same with Cm12, another version of CM 12.1 and even a few lollipop and marshmallow AOSP roms..
So yeah, from my rookie point of view I've tried everything I could think of and Google hasn't been of any help, this is why I'm turning to you guys for help.

PS : Takes it a while to connect to the data network, and I've also been using a lot of the app "Network switcher" to remain on LTE in places where my phone would switch to 2G.

Tethering with T-mobile's unlimited plan for someone stuck out in the boonies

So here's my situation.... I work at a company that has a large data plan with US Cellular for 6 devices. One of these devices is used by the owner of the company at his home to provide him with his main source of internet as there are no other good options in the rural area in which he lives (satellite is not an option, as they are overpriced and cannot provide reliable internet for online gaming due to the long ping time). He watches a lot of Netflix and this last month used almost 90 GB or so on his line alone... This resulted in a massive overage charge...like $1,000 massive.... :mad:

Time for a change..... so the only companies that offer any sort of "unlimited" data are T-mobile, and AT&T. The data options at T-mobile are basically you pay $95 per month and get "unlimited" data.... meaning 22GB of data before it is throttled, and only 15GB of data can be used for tethering.... I find this to be complete BS..... I would be willing to pay $200 per month if I had to to get around 100GB of data... simply put NO ONE will offer that... they all want to rape you... they simply will not provide me with a plan that works.... So I've looked at the methods people used to use to get around the tethering restriction with T-mobile, either by changing the APN settings, or using a VPN.... apparently these methods do not work anymore??? Can someone shed some light as to what DOES work as of TODAY 3/30/16, and what my options are as far as workarounds??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Latest Bootloader - Can I Install Lollipop or KitKat Roms?

I have a moto g titan xt1068 dual sim which was originally running stock lollipop 5.02 and was updated with the OTA stagefright update and then the OTA MM6.0 official by motorola.

I have since installed custom roms cyanogen 13.0 and cyanpop 6.2

I know my bootloader is now the latest, so my question is can I now only install MM based roms? or can I still install KK & LP based custom roms?

or will installing LP or KK based roms hard brick my device?

Xtron pf75aa4a?

I'm looking at a few different models that will hopefully play nice with my 2004 Audi Allroad and happened across this model that says it uses Android 5.1, however it seems like some of these might just be "skinned" 4.4.4 to look like 5.1. Does anyone have any experience with the XTroon units and whether this is a real 5.1 unit?

used up 98% with 1.5 hours of SOT. please help! HORRIBLE battery life!

For the love of god, I was so excited about the S7 and the bigger battery life... I used to get seriously bad battery life out of my Note Edge and with the S7 I was excited I'd finally get a good battery life.. I figured they learned their lesson on battery optimization...

I was wrong....

I'm getting REAL bad battery life out of my S7 and so is my wife. I don't know what to do anymore. I was on the "post your battery life" thread and took up on people's advice and used the package disabler to disable several apps/bloatware, installed greenify to force "aggressive doze" but my phone is just CHOMPING down on the battery. I took some screenshots of GSAM, so I'm hoping someone could help me out...

I might do a factory reset and see how that goes, but I don't think it's going to help anything...

Please please help me. I'm wishing I got the AOSP phone from google now... I do love the water resistance and low light camera (and OIS) though so I would hate to let that go!

Snapchat Audio Distorted

So I've been using Snapchat for the longest time and since they've added the feature to record music while you snap a video I haven't be able to do so.. Recovery mode Question

I'm trying to get my phone able to load custom ROMs but failing miserably. But my failure is not the topic of this thread (I'm just mentioning it so maybe someone nice will help me as I have hit a roadblock).

During this process I had to go back to full stock. So, I Re-locked my phone, and installed the latest RUU from the htc downloads page.

Phone I have is the model CWS__001 from ATT. The phone is back to full stock with it saying "Re-locked/S-ON/etc." on the bootloader screen

Before when I was on firmware 1.32.502.xx I could go into recovery mode and there would be options to flash from sd card or internal memory.

Now I am on firmware 2.11.502.18 and whenever I go into recovery mode, I get a ! in a triangle on a phone drawing with the words "Updating in progress... Do not turn off phone" Then after about three minutes or so, the phone reboots. And I go back to my home screen.

Did they change something recently that I can't flash a zip using recovery mode in firmware 2.11.502.18?

WiFi Tether Router - Disconnects Every 5 Minutes - When Downloading Large Files? Why?

Hello,

I am using WiFi Tether Router to download like a 2.4 GB file. After about 5 minutes it disconnects and I have to start over. Sometimes longer and sometimes shorter.

Is Sprint throttling the connecting and messing it up or is it possibly something else?

Anyone experience this?

WiFi networks in quick settings disappeared

My setup at home includes having a main router and a repeater so I am frequently having switching networks. However, recently for no reason in the drop down under wifi in the quick settings it says "no saved networks available". Therefore I have to click more settings and do it there. Although this may not be a major issue it is just very unclear to me as to why this has happened - I cannot think of anything I have done to cause this.

The attached image shows what I see and yes, I do have a layer applied (not that it should have anything to do with it) but that was applied long before this occurred. I have tried removing it and the result wasn't any different.

Anyone know what could be the issue?

OnePlus just hard-bricked my device and don't give a ____.

Hello xda members, yes you heard right, OnePlus bricked my device, did you had a problem with the OnePlus support too?
Here's a sum up what happened:

Newbie Hep with LG G4 trying to get Marshmallow

Hi, before i annoy most of you by saying i am an absoute newbie at all this i will say i pick things up quickly, and most often learn.....basically a friend helped me last year unock my LG G4 [was locked to Vodafone] He also unocked it for superuser access/ root checker etc. Basically im trying to upgrade to Marshmallow [as im stuck on 5.1] but the offical update doesnt work and im a litte confused with how to go about installing said software/ doing it manually......any help would be brilliant, thanks jamie

Camera - issue with bright light sources

Hi guys,

Overall, I am quite satisfied with my s7 edge, including the camera.

There is one thing that bugs me though.

Whenever there is a birth light source - sun, street lamp, etc., it reflects inside of the lens system, creating weird artifacts. See the attached photo & the video.

Boot logo image problem

Excuse the finger mess, but this is what I get every time it boots; it only happens during start, everything is okay after that (even the TWRP logo appears okay). I have re-flashed the logo image before - is there anything else I can do?

the name and file end from the images.

1. First extract the recovery.img from your zip and place it were u want or in the folder from your Kerneltool.
2. Unpack it by drag and drop on the unpack option and wait till its done,now press enter.
3. Now go to ramdisk folder and open res folder and then images.
4. Make your changes and go away here.
5. Now press repack image and youre done so far.
The new recovery file is called image-new,just rename it to recovery put it in your zip and flash,enjoy!!!!!

My A501 Tab is dead

Dear All
I have Acer Iconia tab A501, It is stucked on acer logo. I can switch it to recovery mode but the update.zip fails to flash the device.
I tried to Erase user data then try flashing , it also failed to work. I connect it to the computer but the computer doesn't sense it . Actually I dont know what to do next? could you help me please...

Is there ANY way to fix that ? Mine is broken and I CAN NOT : root/update recovery/enter bootloader

Basically i am STUCK on the firmware I have and CAN NOT do anything on this phone other than factory reset it but thats just about it.

Nextbit OS Apps

Greetings! I am researching a new smartphone purchase. I have been using HTCs for the past 6 years or so and have become very accustomed to the Sense UI. So much so that I don't have much comfort with anything else. It really comes down to 2 apps that HTC use that are the deal breakers for me. The mail and the messages apps.

So that leads me to my question for the Robin users. I was wanting to know how similar those two apps were to the HTC sense apps. And in particular in the mail app when an Exchange account is created does the app consolidate all of the folders of the inbox into one display? Or do you have to browse each folder in order to know if there is any new mail in that folder? I have tried and tried to adapt to an AOSP type UI and because of the functionality of these 2 apps I can't get comfortable.

I would appreciate any direction on this before I commit to purchasing one.

Smart Notice update not updating

Hello, i just got the smart notice update and installed via sw update up. The phone reboots but later on it comes to the same status!(when i go to sw update keeps saying conyinue with sw update. The situation never ends. I have tried removing smart notice but i cannot find the app i the uninstaller app.

I am running android 6 on rooted device.
Any help will be very welcomed

Camera rattling noise

I now had the Galaxy S6 for several months and I found this phone totally awesome, but a few days earlier it started a rattling noise from the camera. Most of the time I open the camera app, it makes a strange sound (like it is trying to move the lens and the motor fails it to do so). When the camera is open and I try to refocus anything from very near to very far at once, it sometimes make that awful sound too. I am bothered, because I rooted my device some months ago, installed custom kernel and so on. Can I take this to the warranty or am I screwed? Should I bother about this sound? Will it get worse maybe?

CyanogenMod 13 Sprint Data issues

Hello, I recently installed cm13 on my nexus 5x and now sometimes my phone will say no service on sprint, when i should have service(i know i should because i live in a really big city and my sister who also has sprint has no data issues) it seems to be pretty random, it does seem to happen more frequently when i connect to wifi, temporarily fixing it is different every time too. Sometimes turning airplane mode on and off fixes it, sometimes turning off data, then turning on airplane mode, then rebooting it and setting back to normal doesnt fix it, then i just have to wait. I didnt have this problem when using PureNexus, please help!

Sup, i need help, i have the motorola MOTO E LTE (the second gen)

Welp, here is my problem, the device is locked in the factory mode screen (I think, idk really) with a message that says

"Start Up Failed:

Your device didnt start up successfully.
Use the software repair assistant on computer to repair your device.
Connect your device to your computer to get the Software Repair Assistance."

then, below it says

"AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Secure)
Hab check failed for boot
Failed to verify hab image boot
failed to validate boot image
ERROR: Failed to pass validaton, backup to fastboot"
And "Fastboot reason: Fall-though from charger boot mode"

i cant upload a image... The problem started when i downloaded the kingroot app, it rebooted and this appeared, i have no idea of what to do.

welp, i tried to format it in recovery mode, nothing happened, i tried to unlock it too, FAIL, doesnt work too, i connected it in the pc with the software it requires, it doesnt read my cellphone... i have no minimal idea of what to do now, i dont even know what is this, if a soft brick, a fastboot error, idk what to do, please someone help me.

New TouchWiz UI for Marshmallow users, removes Sprint branding (no root)

Turns out it appears to work for the Note 4 Marshmellow users as well. I've been using it for only a little bit, one change I noticed is that it removes the Sprint branding in the upper left without requiring root. I searched for the app in Galaxy Apps, it wasn't available there, but you can download the apk attached to this post

The recent apps feature is pretty terrible, but it's something different you guys can try.

Missing Storage

I have a cheap Chinese tablet. I had to flash firmware to it that was not designed for my specific model. It runs really well, but I am missing half of my storage space. The tablet had 16gb and now all of my partitioning/device info programs show a total of slightly over 7gb. I am also missing half of my RAM (1gb to 512mb) The tablet actually performs better now than with the original firmware, but I would like to have access to all my resources.

Soft bricked Mi4i, plz help

Good evening!

Just wanted to update my girlfriends mi4i from an Kitkat Ferrari rom to a newer one. I had an older twrp on the phone, the one that came with the toolkit for mi4i. For the newer rom i should have at least twrp 2.8.7.. . I found a ferrari twrp 2.8.7 and flashed it per flashify. All went fine. Rebootet all worked. So i wanted to install new rom. In recovery i did n factory reset, which didnt finish. I had to abort it after 15min.
Since then, device wont boot beyond bootscreen. When i try to boot into reovery, i just enter fastbootscreen.
I thought, ok t least fastboot. But when i try to flash any recover through the toolkit, it seems lime all is going well (no errors) but it does not upload the file.. It says in 1,4seconds.. File was sent.. Which is definately wrong 30 mb in 1,4seconds.

Is there anything left i can do?

No working recovery and no working fastboot does sound fuctup?

Microphone sounding muffled only when using the phone

For the last few months I people on the other end of a phone call have been struggling to hear my voice in normal phone mode (not speaker phone) but when I switch to speakerphone the problem goes away and the call quality is excellent.

I have previously tried to fix it using some work arounds on the Oneplus forums but none of these have worked and in the last week or so it has really been annoying me.

I am currently on exodus 6.0.1 and the Google dialer from the play store but this problem has been consistent across many ROMs (aosp, cm and cos based, as well as lolipop and marshmallow) and a few different dialers.

I'm suspecting that the microphone is the problem but since all of the threads regarding this issue are too old too ask I'm not sure.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!!!

Good Lock app.

This works for the Verizon S7 and edge. I like it because it allows my notification bar to look 'google', allows me to hide notifications in folders, and I think I can get used to the Lock screen lol.

You can change the color palette in the app by changing the default routine.

Is there tempered glass for the back available?

S7 Audio volume very low?

I've heard that the internal DAC in the S7 is really weak, but is it really this weak? When I listen to music with headphones, I have to raise the volume to ~80% just to sound like how ~30-40% would sound on most devices. This is the same with both wired headphones and Bluetooth headphones

deleted system files

Hello everyone
I have a huawei y600 with 4.2.2 system in
I downloaded an app to delete some unwanted apps preinstalled like google music but i also deleted some system apps accidentally.
My phone works but i get the 110 error when trying install an app also on system all apps appear in 0mb
The worst is my phone is not recognized by pc
Tried factory reset and back up restore but nothing.
Also i cant uninstall nothing

Problems with marshmallow update. Emergency recovery

Hello all. I'm having some trouble getting my note 5 to work again. I downloaded the new Marshmallow update today from sammobile and proceeded to flash it with odin. After 10 seconds I got the fail red box in odin, disconnected my phone and got this error: '' an error has occured while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software''.

So I went ahead and read in a couple of forums and saw that people got their phones working back using Kies. I did that. Entered my model number (sm-n920g) and entered the serial number. Kies then started to download the firmware and the recovery failed. I have no idea what to do really. Should I try using the Smart Switch program instead? Flashing a lollipop one via odin? Or what? I've never had any trouble before flashing stock roms or customs on any of my other phones, so I'm getting a bit frustrated after Kies didn't work. Any recommendations would be gladly appreciated!
