Some while ago I unlocked my XT1526 by installing the "Network" application (which is relly the same as the test menu you get with a keycode on some Motos) from playstore, and selecting "LTA/GSM only (auto)" from the menu brought up there...
The phone worked in India on 3G, and now in Italy on 3G as well. Thinking I would be able to select specific bands, I went into the "Network" to select GSM/UMTS Band and ttried the possible settings (my phone was offering USA Band, Cellular, and PCS).
Total outcome - phone no longer works with GSM. So, I was clever....

There the Op eventually fixed it by flashing droid sbf from Google.
Regrettably, there's no such SBF (full firmware restore file) for the Sprint XT1526 available. Any other recommendations what I might do? I'd go for a full firmware restore, and there appear to be a few good threads on FW restore, but not for a Sprint model... :(

My phone is on 5.something at whatever Sprint currently is... Any rumors whether another update might be pushed out by Sprint soon that might "magically" fix this by overwriting the current FW and settings?
Final warning - there's not a lot of discussion about this option, but it seems it has caused nothing but grief for all that used it.
